On Tap: Trip Hop

Tonight if you stop by and visit, DrinkDeeply will be Presenting some cuts from this classic album.  Released in 1995, this record contained many parallels to Massive Attack's Protection.

It was part of the Trip Hop movement, a group of bands that all originated from the small town of Bristol, England back in the early to mid 1990's.  Such groups included Massive Attack, Tricky, and Portishead.

Bristol itself as a city is 5 times the size of New Haven, and still considered not a major cultural source for much of Britain, but these groups made an impact and their music is still heard and listened to all around the world.
